‘Third Eye Blind’ releases ‘Occupy Wall St.’ song | The Raw Story

Alternative rockers “Third Eye Blind,” who’ve sold millions of albums in their decade and a half on the published scene, released this week one of the highest-profile songs in support of the “Occupy” movement yet.

Titled “If There Ever Was A Time,” the track opens with the sounds of protesters reacting to an injury sustained by Marine veteran Scott Olsen, who was hit with an Oakland police projectile late last month, fracturing his skull.

“If there ever was a time, it would be now, to make the masters hear this,” they sing. “If there ever was a time to get downtown, and get non violent and fearless, things only get brighter when you light a spark, everywhere you go right now is Zuccotti park.”
